Neilson beach/yachting club with a 5y old - would you recommend?

We are looking for an activity holiday for our family of three (mum/dad/sport-mad 5y old) that would involve some peace for the grown-ups.

We've never been on an organised holiday but various people have recommended Neilson/Sunsail: learning to sail for the grown-ups, kids club for DS.

Thoughts or recommendations anyone?

Neilson in Sivota, Greece, looks good on the website but it's hard to figure out what the quality of the childcare would be.

Feedback welcome!

we are off to turkey with neilson first 2 weeks in july with dds aged 5 and 10. word of warnign we wanted greece ( any resort) and we rang to book late feb they were all full . we did want adjoining rooms or a suite though. got last 2 rooms in teos in turkey, then couldn't get seats on flights at any regional airport! decided these holidays must be good to be so popular

We have done four Neilson holidays with DD (now aged 10, but 6 on her first trip with them). I cannot recommend them highly enough. We have also done Mark Warner and Sunsail, and think Neilson win hands down. If you have specific questions about a specific resort, would be happy to help if I can. We are going back for our fifth with them in July. Childcare is brilliant. The children beg to be allowed to go in. Sport mad children have a ball. DD can now sail, windsurf and waterski, all thanks to Neilson.

Catching this super late but thank you for all this! Very encouraging. Will contact them. If we go, I'll post a report!

Just seen this - thinking of Turkey with Neilsons in May - Teos has availability? Any experience of this one?
Thanks

I wouldn't hesitate to do Neilson/Sunsail if we could afford it. Unfortunately we have to go school holiday time and they're not at all cheap. We've done Sunsail in the past and childcare was excellent. Neilson are supposed to be as food if not better.

We've done Sunsail and Nielson pre-DCs and loved it every time, but I think Nielson had the edge with friendlier staff.

The thing with these sorts of hols is, the staff aren't really holiday reps as such - they're mad-keen sailors and windsurfers and outgoing, friendly dudes, but very professional at teaching their sports and making it fun, so it's mostly a really good laugh - but you don't have to participate if you don't want to.

We're off to Kenya with older DCs this summer (Nielson) and can't wait.

Many thanks for recommendations - we're off to Teos in May half term. Thought about Kenya but a bit rainy in May - much better a bit later on. Enjoy.
