5th wedding anniversary. First night away from kids too

Going to Brighton. Seems like we can get an ok place to stay for about £100. But I have Hotel Du Vin fantasies - is it worth the extra money?

Or just hold nerve and see what we can get on the day? At any of the Brighton hotels. Has anyone done this successfully? It's a thursday night. Cor -i sound so green .

We've stayed there (about 5 years ago) and it was lovely. However, make sure you don't get the room above the bottle bin!

I would def go back (if someone would have the children....please!)

I luuuurve HdV. I've never stayed in Brighton but their beds are heavenly, their sheets are soft and their pillows are little clouds from heaven. And the showers are fabulous. For a romantic weekend away, I'd definitely fork out a few quid extra. Congrats on yr anniversary
