am going to tuscany in august to a villa for a week. it is cheaper to fly on the Friday and I was wondering whether it is easy to visit Pisa? It would be mother plus two fourteen year old girls, on a budget. can any one recommend a cheapish central hotel? Am i mad to go with two teenagers (just for the night)? is it easy to get into the tourist part from the airport? any advice very welcome.

Pisa airport is very close to the City. 10 mins in a taxi. We stayed here for the weekend. It was very central. One day in Pisa is probably enough to see everything. We spent our second day in Lucca. We had some very nice food!

Ah Pisa is where i found out I was PG. Campo di Miracoli. Dd is 6 in 2 weeks.....

We've stayed here a couple of times. It is very central, overlooks the river, ten minutes (max) walk from the main sights.

Pisa is great,
we have had many many holidays in Lucca near by and many hours spent in Pisa.

pisa is great but you are a bit fed up of it after 24 hours. at night the streets are a lot quieter and lovely to wander through. there is a pizza place right by the tower and you can say 'i had a pizza in pisa' which is what everyone likes to say, and think it's funny.

I styed at the hostel in pisa. There are three beds in the 'hostel' room. It is really a hotel of sorts. Very clean, tidy and quite nice. it is literally next door to the tower. Like everyone said, 24 hours in Pisa and you have seen it all.
Will try and find name for you
