Disneyland Paris is the Walt Disney Studios park worth seeing or do most people just do the Disneyland Park?

Limited time and all that, wondering if we could get away with a 2 day pass in just the main one or if the WD Studios park is a must do too.

TIA

We went for 2 days last year and just stayed in the main park, we needed those 2 days for the main park really, especially as one day was a Sat and busier. Never been to the Studio park.

When I went a few years ago our passes worked for both parks, both were good. The studios park was smaller so if you have to choose then the main park would be more worthwhile.

In the studios park we really enjoyed the car stunt show, amazing tricks, stuntmen getting set on fire, dropping from tall buildings, cars doing jumps and car chases etc, DS loved it, so did we. I think there was a big rollercoaster but we didn't go on because ds was too small. Armegeddon experience was ok. Back stage tour seemed a little sedate then got really exciting, took us by surprise. We got pictures with our only character here too because it was less busy. They were building a lightening mcqueen attraction so that should be open by now.

The main park is a lot bigger in 3 or 4 different areas with diff themes, plenty to do, lots of shops, lots of rides for all ages, fast food, reastaurants etc.

I want to go back again

The rock and roller coaster I think is the best coaster across the two parks and is in the studio, but you won't run out of things to do in the main park in two days.

So unless you have people in your party who only want to do the big rides, sticking to the main park would be fine.

Agree with dads and also from memory aside from fantastic playhouse Disney show (dd aged one was in raptures) not a huge amount for smaller kids compared with main park.

My 3 are 6,6 and 5 so thinking we could miss the Studio one and not regret it.

Thats been a great help, thanks, will save a fortune if we just go for 2 days. Think we'll be camping so need to find a cheap place to buy tickets(if that exists) hollow laugh

remember they are opening toy storyland, and all the monsters inc stuff is in the studios as well. if you have to pick then go for the main park but ususally there is not much difference in price between getting a hopper ticket or a single park ticket. £96 per adult for 2day 2 park ticket and it's £45 for a 1 day 1 park ticket. my 1yr and 4 yr old both loved the playhouse disney live show, a highlight for us.

we went in oct last year, with DS (nearly 5 at time), DD1 (3.5 at time) and DD2 (9mo at time). we did spend a day in the studio's but now wish we'd not bothereed. It's aimed much more at the older kids/adults IMO. We didn't get into a playhouse disney show. The stitch live show was good and both older DC's loved it!! Other than that the stunt show is good for adult males but not so good to entertain my brood and we wished we'd spent the extra day in the park!!

The one thing my DD loved in the studio park was the HSM show - so I guess it depends, if your 6 year olds are girls it might just make their visit!

cantmummyhaveabreak · 22/02/2010 18:08

The HSM show wasn't on when we went- it was 'stars in cars' instead- DD1 really wanted to see HSM but we couldn't. Maybe have a look at what shows etc are on in the studios before deciding. But you defo need more than 1 day for the main park. We had 2 days and didn't manage all the rides either!!

A return trip is being planned!!

Have been to the Studio park a few times. If you have hopper tickets you can go in both, and just stay in the studios for a while. Or if you have Studio tickets you get to go into the DLP park after 6pm at no extra charge.

DD has always enjoyed the shows in the studios, and you also get to see the characters and parade easier as it is generally less busy. For adults the Aerosmith ride is here too. The car tunt show is very good IME and DD had always enjoyed that, even from being quite small.

We all loved Crush's coaster & some of us loved the Tower of Terror. My kids 7 & 13, both enjoyed the bit in the studio's where you could learn to draw the disney characters. However both times when we have been we have had 3 days and could swap between the parks. I guess if we only had two days we might give the studio's a miss.
