So far I have just heard tales of poor service.

Will be flying out on my own with 2 (energetic)dss and am getting more and more anxious as time gets closer.

I flew with Quantas last year to Australia, no delays, polite staff and everything else same as any other airline I've travelled with, food not great, bit cramped but nothing out of the norm. In flight entertainment good. Hope your journey goes well!

Quantas were fantastic 10 years ago when I got a flight back from Melbourne with tiny DD.

I've heard their new premium economy is good but otherwise i prefer to avoid them if i can.

Have flown BA and Qantas (pedant point: no u) BA was better in every way except one - the staff. Whenever I have flown Qantas the staff have been very good - friendly and responsive.

I flew with Qantas two years ago with my DS who was 7 months and I found them to be great. Last year I flew Singapore Airlines and I didn't find them to be much help with my very active 18 month old! So have decided to go Qantas again with now 2 DCs my DS 2.6yo and DD 7 months. I have flown both airlines numerous times and would have always favoured Singapore above all but am now thinking Qantas is the way to go for us.

I am flying Qantas (no U - stands for Queensland And Northern Territory Aerial Service for the pendants out there) next week back to Oz.
BA have better customer service but Qantas have better inflight tv . A lot of the times they codeshare anyway. Usually cheaper then BA too.

Just come back from a holiday to Oz with flights booked on Qantas - 5 to be exact.
I found them to be great, staff very helpful - we had 2 year old dd with us and as it was her first time flying she kicked off big time. Everyone was really helpful asking if I needed anything and they really looked after us.
Our last flight was with BA and that was awful - the plane needed a good dusting, food was diabolical and the cabin crew were nowhere near as good, some were pretty indifferent.

I flew to Oz with my 2 dds when baby was 4 months old. The cabin crew were incredibly attentive and helpful. One guy even took my dd (baby) for a walk with him! The only problem I had was that my buggy wasn't available for the change over - arriving Melbourne and transferring to Adelaide. I had to get my luggage etc and put it back on the other side. Luckily there are 10 years between my children so the elder one could help out . Really couldn't fault our experience tho.
