I want to have a family break in the summer, any recommendations of family friendly places that we can reach via eurostar (not disney)dcs are 3 and 6, journey time 4-5 hr max. Location can be city, town, country or sea, just somewhere nice that we will all like.

we went right to the Med on Eurostar, changing at Lille as it's much easier than in Paris. 1st class was still cheaper than flying, and you get a meal on the Eurostar.
Overall, it was a tiny bit longer than your 4-5 hours, but manageable because of the change. (DC were 8, 6, 2)

So, anywhere at the seaside would be good for you! We actually stayed in Nimes, which was a great base, but you could go anywhere nearby.
