Somewhere to take the dd's for 1 night?

Hi,
We have had a unlucky few weeks with both dd's and me being ill, i had to cancel dd1's 6th birthday party and we have been stuck in the house (ill) for half term.

I was thinking, when we are all better (maybe in a week or so) on taking the girls somewhere and staying overnight. I don't want it to cost a fortune so maybe somewhere where we can go walking or too the beach to look for shells?

Can anyone recommend anything?

We are in the SW and won't want to travel too far.

I don't mind where we stay as long as it is child friendly (suitable for 4 and 6 year old), so B&B, hotel or caravan sight (as long as they are heated).

Any idea of budget?

Get a family room at a travelodge by the sea somewhere. around £29 a night. breakfast is extra but kids free.

The one at eastbourne is right by the sea, so you can get sandy and wet and pop back to change.

Didn't really want to spend more than 100.00 (that including food etc).

I will take a look at travelodge.

Dh wants to go to legoland which we could do with tesco club points but i was thinking something a bit more out in the open, maybe something in between the 2 would be good.

What about something like this? It gets great reviews on tripadvisor and it at one of the UK's nicest beaches.

That looks lovely hf128.
