Glasgow - What's a nice hotel?

My husband and I are planning a weekend trip to Glasgow. It's ages since we have been away so plan on treating ourselves to a really nice hotel. Can anyone recommend a great hotel in Glasgow? Near enough to the shopping but doesnt have to be bang smack in the middle of the action, in fact wouldnt mind being a little bit away from the action but a short taxi ride to shops would be perfect.

The Blythswood Square Hotel has just opened. Its a 5* "boutique" hotel with a spa and is right in the heart of the city centre so within walking distance of everything. I havent been in it but a friend said it was lovely.

The Malmaison has been around for ages but always gets good reviews. I have stayed here (many moons ago) thought it was really good. It has a gym but not a "spa" iykwim. Fashionable types frequent the bar at weekends and the food is excellent. Again, within walking distance of the shops.

One Devonshire Gardens in the West End is supposed to be lovely and is near all the nice wee shops on Byers Road etc. Never stayed there (I live in Glasgow!) but I know a few people who have and they have raved about it.
