Hope someone can help. I'm off for a girlie weekend to Nottingham this Friday. Just wondered if anyone knows of good pubs/clubs On Fri/Sat nights that you can get into wearing jeans as a couple of my friends are usual ultra casual iyswim!! TIA Also cheap places to eat would help too

Good bars and clubs around the Lace Market area, can get into bars with jeans but not sure about clubs (long time, no see.. iyswim) also loads of places to eat out depending on what you like.

thanks. Does anyone know if there is a nice pub near the train station too?

erm, I wouldn't describe it as "nice" exactly. You're better off wandering into the city centre which is a hefty 2 minute walk through the Broadmarsh.
What kind of pubs / clubs do you like?

we're just looking for a pub to meet in near the station as we're all getting in at different times

It may be ok for that. And JUST that!!! its on the corner directly outside the train station towards the city centre and the only thing going for it really is that you CAN'T miss it!!. It might be called the Grosvenor or something similar.
If you walk the other way, away from the city centre across the big set of traffic signals you will see to your left if you have your back to the station, just over the road and set back slightly is a really nice independent pub called the Vat and Fiddle.

We ended up meeting outside a bar on the canal towpath as it was such lovely weather. Had a lovely weekend. Thanks for the advice
