Child Friendly Hotel in Turkey?

Instead of going to Spain like we normally do, I would like to go to Turkey with my 2.5 year old in September. Can anyone recommend a child friendly hotel, dont mind what resort.

Are you looking for a hotel or apaprtment? B&B, Half board or All inclusive? Big hotel with all the facilities or small & friendly?

Would prefer hotel with lots of thinsg for toddlers to do. I dont mind AI but half board would be ok too.

Have a look at Parkim Ayaz Hotel in Gumbet, you can do half board there. It is right on the beach and is reasonably priced. If you are looking to spend a bit more then WOW resort Bodrum is quite nice for AI.

I had a look at the Wow resort but it had mixed reviews on Tripadvisor. Currently the prices are around £600 per week in September.

mark Warner and Neilson both have places in Turkey - probably worth a look at their websites. Not the cheapest option though.

First Choice do 'Holiday Villages' I think, which have childcare and are set up for families. Almost certain they have one in Turkey.

The other one that friend of mine have been to and praised is Lykia World - they had older kids though, so you would have to check whether it is suitable for younger as well.

We really liked Lykia World in Olu Deniz..it was 6 years ago when we went, but think it still gets good reviews.
DS was one and DD was 4 when we went the pools and childrens club were fab, food was lovely and everyone was really friendly.I was suprised at how beautiful it was.

The Bodrum WOW is very nice, I have been in there. It is in a great position right on the beach and about 10 minutes walk into the resort of Gumbet, it is also just 10 minutes to Bodrum by minibus, which stops right outside.

The First Choice Holiday Village in Turkey has had some bad reports of food poisoning. I think it wasn't too bad last year but I personally would be wary of taking a young child there.

Another vote for the wow bodrum we went last june very good for families. This year we are off to the concorde de luxe lara beach.

laughalot · 16/02/2010 14:47

Ignore the reports on tripadvisor about it we couldnt fault the hotel im a travel agent to so do alot of research before booking our family hol. If the wow bodrum hadent gone up so much in price for this year we would be going back.

Lykia world is great for young kids and even have a creche for DC from 6mths so you can enjoy a little it of peace and quiet. 10years since I went (pre-DC), but I still hear lots of good things about it - I wanted to go last year but DH wanted a shorter flight and transfer time as we were only going for a week.

Childcare and activities for young children are brilliant at the Holiday Villages - my 3 yo DD still talks about the pools and wears her kids club tshirt. We went to the one in Majorca last year. Me and DH didn't find it very relaxing though - constant shouty entertainment around the pool and nowhere to escape to for quiet time which to me was the point of DD going to the creche.

laughalot - just looked at the concorde, looks lovely. So many hotels to choose from in Turkey.
