Hello

Travelling to the Caribbean in March 2010 - two families and three small children (all under 3).
Looking for a villa within a resort (so we have the option of self-catering plus facilities for the children's meals etc).
Has anyone got any recommendations?
Ideally wuld like our own pool and be walking distance to the beach.

Thanks

We stayed at the cotton bay village last year in St Lucia. It's apartments/villas in a hotel complex.

Pool is massive and the beach is easily walkable. The beach isn't completely fantastic but the free on site creche is AMAZING.

The nanny was fabulous and she still works there as she's my friend on facebook now!

When we were there last year Amy Winehouse was staying at the resort.

The beach restaurant does delivery service or the nanny's babysit for about $10 an hour.

Villas well furnished and have blenders and all that jazz if your little ones are small.

Downsides, there wasn't a good on site supermarket so you need to go into town which is about $30 taxi to stock up and the resort is at the top of the island so takes about 1 -1.5 to get there from the airport - unless you take the helicopter like we did which was $90 each.

oh and our baby monitor worked by the pool so when the little was sleeping we were chilaxing!!

We stayed at www.fushivilla.com. It's a great house and there is a great chef. We needed a car and went out for lunch most days and ate in at night, so the kids could all go to sleep.
