We had planned on going to a farm; but shut until half term.
dd7 and ds11 please don't say the railway museum or yorvik we've been a hundred times!

my boys 5&7 have been to the forbidden corner twice now and they have loved it. to be honest they went with gp so ive never been. i think its like a maze tho. there are dark tunnels/cave tho so not good if scared of the dark!

I presume you've done the York Castle Museum?

Not sure the Forbidden Corner is much fun in the rain, a fair bit of it is outside.

I have to say, I live in N. Yorks. and there really does seem to be f.a. to do when the weather is bad. Could you go to Leeds? The Thackray Medical Museum is great for children of that age group.

Whitby Abbey is very atmospheric in the rain, my two are very disappointed if its not wet and misty when we go, but it usually is, even in August! If you wanted something indoor theres the sea life centre at scarborough.
