Tokyo - child friendly?

Me, dh and 2.4 yrs dd will be stopping over in Tokyo for 3 nights on our way back from a holiday in Oz.

We have been before but that was pre-parenthood and we were young and fancy free! I'm not sure how child friendly Tokyo actually is as I am hearing different things. For example what are restaurants like with allowing children in? We take dd to most places here without a problem, just need to know what to expect really.

Most restaurants in Japan are really child friendly. In many places children's bowls and spoons etc are automatically brought to the table. High chairs are often available. It is a very family-oriented society.
