Digusting airline charging for buggy!

I am so angry about this - I am taking my DD back to Dublin in May and because she is two have bought her a seat. However she will obviously need a bugg and this counts as her baggage allowance and I have to pay to bring it ! It is £20 and if I want to bring a case for her with clothes - those 'non-essentials' as the airline seems to think, that will be a second bag and will cost £36!!! She is two and cannot walk a huge amount!!!!! The worst part is that its not even the airline one would imagine - its a so-called flag carrier!!!!!!

A lot of companies do charge now for every suitcase/pushchair... that is not "hand luggage". I think it is just a sign of times

Sadly lots of airlines now charge for everything as extras. It is pretty mean of them not to carry a bugg free of charg though; I think even Ryan Air lets one buggy on doesn't it?

Is there anyway you can have a buggy bag por will it fit in a larger case/holdall, and fit other stuff whin the same bag?

Aer Lingus is it? Same difference IMO. Do they allocate seats? Ryanair make you pay extra to be guaranteed a seat next to your child - I find that a bit cheeky.

I guess its just that paying for the buggy is one thing, its then having to pay an extra fee (not just the regular baggage charge) for her bag because it counts as two pieces that is most infuriating! I know there's no such thing as a free lunch but sometimes a little common sense wouldn't go amiss!

I saw this and thought of you hope it brightens your day a bit

I have never heard of an airline charging for a buggy - that is outrageous
