We want to take a short break at easter with 3 and 5 year old so what will keep us all amused? Coventry Transport Museum looks good.

Kenilworth Castle - a ruin and great for scrambling around, Warwick castle - expensive but whatabout just doing the grounds, St Nicholas park in Warwick - will the boats be working - don't know. Think there are other things in the park too. Sorry, just realised these things are all out of doors! More out of doors fun in Jephson gardens in Leamington. St Mary's Church in Warwick is beautiful and atmonspheric and Cov cathedral is still great of course. Our dcs could be persuaded to enjoy these historic things but yours may be too small. Trying to think of other things more child centred - I think there's a bird of prey place near Stratford - Shottery I think.

My boys went on a short break to Coventry with my parents 2 years ago, so they would have been 4 & 6.

They still talk about it now - They went to Kenilworth Castle, which they loved, although a ruin so outdoors. They absolutely loved Warwick Castle, especially the bit where they got to see a trebuchet fired! and the motor museum was a big hit too.

Warwick Castle is amazing but expensive if you don't have two for one vouchers.

I think my Mum did Warwick Castle with Tesco vouchers

Our son is 3 1/2 and these are our indoor/outdoor activities we do - we live there!
Warwick castle, Cov Transport museum, Ryton Pools country park, plane spotting at Birm airport, Air museum baginton, Combe Abbey, Jephson gardens, Jim Jam Boomerang, Startford Amouries, Draycote Water, St nicholas Park, Butterfly park Stratford

Hope this helps?

Thanks for all your replies.

Thanks Ladders - think we need to book a longer break now!
