I just booked for my DH and I to go to Cyprus to do some painting etc of our holiday house before the season starts. Maybe because I book tickets with Easyjet quite a lot I didn't concentrate and made a mistake, ONE letter in my husband's name.
When I tried to change it on line it was going to cost £25...........so have been getting myself into a total fury, loads of snotty retorts ready (in my head!), held on for 15 minutes on the helpline (at 10p a min).
AND..........customer services were delightful, helpful, and made the change for free

I am flying for the first time ever with Ryanair in a couple of weeks and am dreading it.

Have not flown with them, they don't do Cyprus yet.
Must say Easyjet not bad ONCE you get on the plane. The bunfight with seats is awful. And you learn never to buy their food, but the legroom isn't bad, clean fairly efficient, and obviously they are ALWAYS the cheapest ime.
Good luck with the Ryanair

My parents arrived at the check in desk this morning to be told their flight is cancelled, no more till Friday and they can do nothing for my folks ie hotel as its their fault they were not in when EasyJet phoned on 2nd January. .

Common sense would say if they flew into England on 20th December and were booked to fly back to Spain today, that they probably wouldn't of been at home in SPAIN in January. They also got some snottiness of the check in girl which hasnt gone down well. My Mum said she always felt sorry for the check in girls when she saw them with stroppy customers on tv. They must edit the rude ones out

FimBOW - I told my hairdresser that we are flying with Ryanair in August - this is what she said to me...

"don't forget your trainers!"

I asked why and she said because you need to run like bloody hell to get a seat if you want to sit together with your children and now I am dreading it too just like you.

FimBOW · 01/02/2010 22:59

Yes I have heard that too Bellavita. Mind you maybe it would be a good thing - someone else could listening to ds twittering!

That is bad Old Raver.

I booked very cheap flights with ryanair and when I came to check in online the day before we were due to fly I realised that my dd's title on the booking was Master, not Miss, so I tried to change it online and they wanted to charge me £100, which was a lot more than what I had paid for the flights, so I called them on the priority line which costs a massive £1 per minute, but I got straight through to an operator who changed the booking over the phone and sent me an email to confirm, I was very surprised as I fully expected them to say I needed to pay the £100, and I was only on the phone for a couple of minutes.
