April Holiday where to go, warm and family friendly?

Hi,

I'm looking for ideas on where to go for a break in April with two kids under 6. We want somewhere abroad (but not too far), we've only holidayed in Uk before so are excited about going somewhere different. Budget is medium and would prefer hotels / resorts type holiday over self catering as I get a real break too then!

Any ideas would be much appreciated!

thanks

this hotel is fantastic and really family friendly. Cyprus should be warm and sunny in April (about 70 ish degrees) and is about 4 hour flight from UK

this one is great too

tilly have you been to the one in Cyprus, is it really good????

Its really lovely. The staff are so friendly and its just great for young children whilst still looking and feeling swanky. They'll provide cots, highchairs, changing mats etc. and they can arrange for nappies, wipes, formula/baby food to be pre-ordered for you. There are loads of creches/kid's clubs and its just very geared up for families. The beach is a bit disappointing but Paphos generally isn't great for beaches.

The Turkey one is a bit more of a holiday resort - a bit more "package holiday" feeling but brill for kids

Hi there.

I live and work in Tenerife looking after children - www.tenerifechildcare.com

There is so much in Tenerife for all ages. You have 2 water parks, the fantastic Loro parque which have parrot, sealion, killer whale and dolphin shows to name but a few. There are also childrens play areas here, Mickey park is one which is great and another one that is right on the beach that has built in trampolines, ball pools etc. Also, in certain areas there are inflatables in the sea for childrens use but i think it is priced at 10 euros per day but that is for unlimited use.
There are family buggies that you can hire out, mini golf and a number of other things to keep you all entertained. Oh, there is the monkey park too which is so lovely as you can actually feed the little monkeys and they hold your hand etc, very cute. You can find hotels/apartments here for any budget.
I can persionally get an apartment for 150 euros for up to 4 people and that price is just for the apartment, not per person. If you want some ideas on hotels, please let me know and i will assist you the best i can.

Also, if you would like some childcare during your stay again, give me a shout .... thats if you do decide on Tenerife.

Anyway, happy holiday hunting and have a great trip wherever you decide.

Lisa.

Lisa2 - I'd be interested in some hotel recommendations

Lisa2 · 02/02/2010 13:45

Ok, no problem.
Just give me a few ideas on what you are looking for as in 1-2 or 4-5 or if you have no preference.
Do you want hotel with kids club etc and any specific area?

Just so i can try and pin point hotels that will be suitable for you.

Thank you.
Lisa.

Ideally hotel , 3-4*, kids club (3 and 6), nice pool. Not worried about proximity to beach but would be nice if we could walk to restaurants.

Ok, here are some ideas to google for more info and photos...

-Anthelia hotel - Adeje
-Iberostar Torviscas playa - Torviscas
-Mare Nostrum resort - Los Cristianos
-Jacaranda hotel - Adeje

  • Gran Costa Adeje palace
-Parque santiago hotels (there is 5 different hotels 1-5)

All hotels listed have lovely big pools, some more than one and close by to all facilities.

I have been to all these hotels persionally doing my babysitting work so can give the opinion first hand.

Good luck with your search and let me know if i can help further.
Lisa.
