Can I bank transfer from UK to Germany?

How does it work? Or do I need to call the bank and sort it thru them?

Need to pay a deposit for a holiday apartment and they don't take credit card.

Think you probably need to ask your bank - i know my online banking can't do international transfers.

We did it to Switzerland, I think you need an IBAN code. Ask your bank.

You need an IBAN and also a SWIFT just in case. Some banks have the option to do international transfers online via net bank, some don't.

It will cost you around £8 for a transfer to Europe.
