Right first time cruiser

I want a particular cruise ,P&O Oceana and have been phoning round various agents and getting prices. Small amount of price difference .
MY question is , do they lower their price to try and entice you like a double glazing salesman. Would I be daft to book when they were going to come back with a better deal.
Any experience.

You will find that agencies will match each other, if pushed, however you have to remember that all they have to play with is the margin between the actual cost to them of the cruise and the price charged to you. What this means in reality is that it is unlikely that you will be able to get better than the lowest advertised deal.

New deals tend to be released at the start of each month. Don't listen to all the hype about sales, it is often nothing more than marketing speak and prices will rise and fall to reflect demand vs availability - eg when the P&O January sale (which, of course, ended on January 31st!) finished, many of their fares(including Oceana) were REDUCED further!!
