Were planning to go in August with DD2 and DD5. We've been to Palma Nova before and really liked the beach there and reastaurants but the appts we stayed in were a bit run down. Does anyone have any recommendations either there or another part of the Island. We want everything close by and ideally with a kids club either appts within a hotel or all inclusive would be ok too. Many thanks.

We went to Safari Appts in Sa Coma last September. The (ages 2, 5 and 6) kids had a fantastic time - and therefore so did we! Would defintiely go back.

We went to the beach but only once - the kids prefered to hang out by the pools with like minded kids. Food was excellent and we made use of the Thomson run kids club.

We had a one bed appt which adjoined (via an interconnecting door) a double room so had loads of space.

yes food was great. At lunchtime they have a BBQ grill wth chefs cooking chicken, kebabs and sirloing steak or inside the buffet restuarant was a hue selection of hot meals such as pasta, braising steak, chicken to cold foods and fantastic array of salads.

Yes walking distance to shops and a few bars, beach was very clean but again we preferred the hotel pool and the wter park is a must we went twice its 2 mins walk and belongs to the hoel/apts. We paid I think about £12 for 3 of us and that included all drinks and food all day - just help yourself

Thanks so much ladies- this place is sounding better all the time! DH had a look at the hotel and he thought it sounded perfect too.Did you need much more money when you were there- were goikng in August so not cheap but I'm guessing we won't need to take much money with us.

nope hardly spent anything. WE did go on the road train to the next town for the day and bought a few things but hotel wise you dont need to spend a penny. We are going Aug too 23rd for 1 week!!!

We'll just miss you-plan to go 7th- DH will have his birthday there so that will be nice.
Is it cheaper to go end of August as opposed to beginning? This is first year DD has been at school so bit shocked by the prices-usually go away in June.

not sure but we can only go this date in Aug for a last week before school starts again. Its costing us around £2.3k for 3 of us in a one bed apartment...however Im not anticipating spending much money whilst there.

One other thing is in the reception area is a huge box you take whatever you like out of it ie. inflatables, air bed, etc.. as long as you leave something when you go home. LAst year we got a huge dolphin for ds he loved it and saved us spending £10 on one!

another vote for the Safari. We had a great holiday (our first AI) - food was excellent, room very spacious and the staff were super.

I definately think we're going to book this- sounds better all the time. Thanks ladies for all your info.

ohhh just thought of something else. The kids entertainment is quite funny....very european so to speak. The hotel is a mix of dutch, german, spanish, english. the hotel mascot is called Proty (a beaver I think!)the kids love him, lots of silly songs and dances. We bought the cd and have had it on this week!

We found the kids club ont he last day but ds wouldnt go in he was only 3 but this year Im sure he will give it a go for a morning session perhaps

Thanks- I think DD5 will love it- DD2 will be a bit young. Going to book it tomorrow. This will b or first family holiday abroad with just us since we've had the kids so I can't wait. The thought of not having to mess about cooking will make it even better.
