Eastyjet priority boarding - worth it or not?

We're flying to Faro this Summer during school holidays and am about to book easyjet flights. We've got 3 dcs aged 5, 3 and a few months. Do you reckon priority boarding is worth it? (£15 each) Or is there a real risk that we will be split up?

You'll get on first with the little ones. Priority boarders go first, then small children with parents.

And it's a rip-off, don't buy it.

We got priority boarding last year but I don;t think I will do it again as you can get on the second boardig group if you have a child under 5 anyway. If my kids were older I would proabably pay the extra but not while they are still young.

With a baby you should be fine and placed in the second grouping, the one behind the priority boarders. Get there with plenty of time and queue up at departures as early as you can.

However - for other people. Eaasyjet may say Under 5s but in reality this may not be the case. We had a preschool (p;us 2 other children) with us one time and were told the child must be an infant, under 2y to qualify for the early boarding.

DD is 7y now and we pay for priority boarding, and it has worked out well for us.

Also, depends on the airport. If you have to get a bus from the boarding gate to the plane then you only get priority boarding on to the bus - not at the plane.

Just make sure you tell them explictly that you have young children with you. So that you don't end up having to leg it for your boarding gate with toddler and pregnant tummy.

We didn't bother with priority boarding when we flew Easyjet as DS was under 2. Ha! It seems 80% of the flight had paid extra for priority and the rest of us languishing behind were the ones with babes in arms. A complete nightmare, and we only just managed to get seats together.

It's a completely crap system if you ask me and it would put me off flying Easyjet again, if I had any choice in the matter.

We didn't bother, but wish we had. There was no other priority group (which I had sort of banked on) and as I was 27 weeks pregnant and with a toddler in tow was not really up to the 1+ hour wait standing in a queue. So we pretty much ended up getting on last, when there were only single seats left. On both flights I had to make a fuss and get someone to move so DD (2 yrs) and I could sit together!
