Can anyone recommend a hotel in Sydney which is both luxurious AND suitable for children eg. interconnecting rooms or seperate bedrooms?? We want to have a blow out at the end of a trip staying with family!

Have you tried looking at apartment hotels? There are some really good ones in Sydney, and much better with kids - you get living area and kitchen plus one or two bedrooms, so you have space to relax after they are in bed. We used to use the York apartment hotel - great location, big, comfortable apartments, but a bit dated (last went four years ago so it may have been updated since) and not many hotel facilities apart from a rooftop pool. Loads of restaurants within a couple of minutes walk, though, and you can get takeaways from some of the best restaurants delivered to your door. Other friends used to use the Grand Mercure Darling Harbour apartment hotel - newer, posher, very child-friendly location on Darling Harbour, though of course more expensive.
Lucky you - I'd love to go back and am feeling .

How much of a blow out? I would go for the Park Hyatt Sydney. Just check out the views. They have quite a few different suites with separate bedrooms etc...
