Looking at May half-term and need a villa (I guess) for 4, close to a few restaurants, a few shops, and a sandy beach. Not much to ask except that it has to be reasonably priced and warmoish (above 23 degrees). All suggestions gratefully received. Tjose with villas in above situations positively welcomed! Come sell me your property!

There are some lovely resorts in Turkey that would be just what you are looking for. One place that springs to mind is Ortakent on the Bodrum peninsula, there is a beautiful beach there and some nice restaurants and it is somewhere the Turkish people holiday so not too touristy. A couple of other places that I have not actually been to myslef but sound what you are looking for are Cirali, in Antalya and Akyaka, near Dalaman

I would recommend Cesme near Izmir, Turkey. It is right opposite the Greek islands and has beautiful beaches with fine white sand.

By the way, "nefret" is an interesting choice of name.

She is a character in one of my favourite books :-)

Really? It means "hate" in Turkish.

Do you know what, I hadn't even thought of that! I have a different user name for my Turkish forums.

Now I'm just curious to hear in which book there is a character named "nefret".

It is a book set in Egypt. Nefret means beautiful in the ancient Egyptian language. It just shows how words have completely different meanings in different languages doesn't it!
