We are planning on visiting the National Space Centre with 3 and 5 year old.

Has anyone else been with children this age?

Also any other recommendations to visit in Leicester as a family.

Hope you can help.

I have been with a DD of 10. TBH, 3 and 5 yr olds would probably not get the best out of this.

Hi, I would second that 3 and 5 is too young, the last time we took our sons they were 8&9 and had a great time. we took them when they were younger but they struggled with it.

There is a museum right next door to it(abbey pumping station museum) which has activities throughout the year such as steam fairs, whilst it isn't a very big museum my children love it and have been going there since they were little.

Agree with Insanity - best part of my visit there with a child (think he was around 6 at the time) was Abbey Pumping Museum next door. Flush the poo down the loo was the most favourite exhibit.

I don't think the space centre is very good for a 3 and 5 year old. Take them to Abbey Pumping Station instead.
If going this weekend, 7th Feb is Steam Toy day - www.stationarysteamengines.co.uk/stia/details.
