Greece / Turkey / Cyprus???

We want to go on holiday in May/June to one of these countries (or anywhere else you can think of which fits our requirements!).

I would like a nice hotel (4/5*) on the beach with a creche for DS (18 months when we go) and babysitting facilities. We don't want to stay in the hotel every day so would like things to do nearby - possibly animal related as DS would like that.

Also good to be near bars/restaurants, we like to get out and about for dinner and drinks.

Any ideas please??

Thanks all.

I spent most of the summer in Greece, Athens maninly, and a few small islands, Was lovely but be warned

get good medical insurance, if you have an accident, the last thing you want to worry about is the cost, and believe me - private is expensive $300 for 4 stiches and some local (poor DD)

animals - esp from what I saw, are not like what you would see in England, some of it was fairly horrific and made my 2.5 yr old cry - donkeys in cages etc in a "zoo"

I have spent a lot of time in Turkey an I love it there. It is very child friendly. Have a look at Royal Asarlik Hotel in Gumbet or the Parkim Ayaz. I have no idea if they have babysitting facilities as we never leave our children anywhere but they may have. If not WOW resort Bodrum may have but it depends on what budget you are looking for s this one is a bit expensive.

There isn't too much animal related apart from horse riding or camel riding, not so many countries have such good zoos and things as in the UK but there will certainly be other thinsg for your little one to do.

I know Protaras in Cyprus well, ( I have a house there) It is family friendly, and the beaches are great for kids, soft sand , calm seas. There is an aquarium , and a small zoo, but my children are too old for these, so have never been myself. The food is great, and so is the weather!
Re health insurance, obviously always wise, however Cyprus is EU, so if you have an E1 card,
(I think that is what is called, but would have to check)
You could then get free care.
