Come on lady-mother-travel-experts/ and wise travelling dads! ALL I want is a week in the warm, plenty for tiny kids to do and see (warm pools, a playground and even a few ratty animals/fish should do it!) no driving once we get there, plenty of delicious restaurants/bars within walking distance, more euro than full english if poss, short transfer, suite (i.e. interconnecting rooms with kitchenette kind of thing, nowt posh) or self catering, and ideally not too ropey so I can feel like I have had a tiny bite of luxey holiday! Surely this should be possible? NOT bothered in the slightest about kids clubs/creche/spa as like to keep the kids with me when not working, but as we then spend evenings in the accomodation or strolling with them asleep in buggies has to be a nice resort and slight sleeping area separation... Was thinking Canaries/Cyprus/Portugal. Total budget for the week about £1500.Could stretch for perfection, but not much...!

Have been to all three places yr suggesting at end March - not sure if we were just unlucky x 3 but none of them was warm (they told us Tenerife was unseasonably cold??). All three were about 18C by day and Cyprus was cold at night. It was definitely warmer in Cornwall last April than any of those places! Would suggest Red Sea resorts if you want to be warm, or flying to Agadir maybe? We often wait till two weeks before we want to go, checking out weather .... (OH likes to be sweaty 25C+ otherwise he doesn't think it's worth paying for an air ticket!)
