London eye - advance tickets?

Hi don't really understand ticketing - you can book ahead and choose a 30 min slot - or pay a whole lot more and get thru queue quicker according to website? Would be looking at a weekend in school hols don't want to pay more if its just a rip off - any one got any views? TIA

Hi we booked online in the summer. We didn't go for the fasttrack as it seemed like a waste of money.

On the day just turn up 30 mins in advance and go to the ticket hall. Look for the area where you go if you have prebooked.

DON'T JOIN THE MAIN QUEUE! That is for people who are paying on the day and is enormous, we were 5 minutes in before we realised we didn't need to be in that queue!
