11 people 7 suitcases - how many hire cars?

ok, so we've got 11 people and 7 suitcases to get from the airport to villa in spain (1hr drive)

We were going to get a 7 seater people carrier and a normal car but we don't think we'll get suitcases in.

We are utterly baffled how to transfer ourselves!

Any suggestions?

Would a mini bus work out cheaper and more convenient?

no, cos we need cars when we get to the villa as it's quite remote. A roofrack would solve all problems but none of the car hire places seem to do them....is very strange this cos loads of people must have this problem

2 x 7 seaters?

Contact a local chauffeur company and see what they suggest (pretend you're booking the transport for your outgoing flight)

They're usually pretty good for estimating these things.

7 seater plus smaller one and then leave two people and excess baggage to get a taxi. Would be cheaper than hiring a third car if you won't need it when you arrive. Also, will let you see if it is possible to fit everything in.

I hired roof racks in Majorca (with Economy Car Hire who also do Spain).

The Budget website tells you to ring them to see if you can get them at your destination (its not on the web booking system).
