Help. Flying with baby and toddler to USA. Baby I will breast feed on way up and down but what do I do with my 2 yr old? Don't think he understands what sucking is so don't think I can go down boiled sweet route!!!

I have dreadful ears so worried he might take after me!

Any help muchly appreciated

Dummy? Drink from a sports bottle?

I think the key is swallong to equalise the pressure within the ears. I'd go with the sports bottle idea.

definitely having a drink and swallowing on take off and landing, it will help equalise the pressure as kreecher says

Earplane earplugs are pretty good. I use them all the time and my daughter has used them since she was 11. I think you can get them for under 10's from Boots (as well as the adult ones)
