Hello
I need ideas where to take my 1, 4 and 6 years olds on holidays, dont want kids clubs as they wont go in them but need it to be walking distance to harbour, resturants, beach etc - as dont want to drive around with 3 kids in the car.

Anyone got some suggestions where we can go?

Don't want the usual Sani resorts type places as I love my kids but dont want 1000's of the screaming darlings!

My ideal would be a 2 bed apartment complex with shared pool, daily maid and close town to go for a stroll in the evening with good food - is this too much to ask?

Thanks

My sis has an apartment here www.rent.carvoeiro.com/PropertyDetail.php?property_id=265 and there are various aps to rent.
Complex is suitable for kids. Is a 20 min walk to town though and beach, is easy enough with pushchair. There are other kids in holiday season but not loads as small complex with some permanent retired residents.

LOL! I just started near identical thread, should have read this first. Hopefully someone will give us the perfect solution

hehe - Its so hard to find something, I know what I dont want but can't do a search for what I do want!

I don't want thompson the dog or loads of kids club activity but would love a pool and beach in walking distance and some good taverns/harbour something to walk around at night, and a place where my son can get sardines for his lunch - that's his requirement!

I don't even know what resort would be best, I likes Porta Pollensa when we went but the hotels aren't great

Loved Punta Prima Prestige (Prestige bit not the other horrid side) but the price is silly money now for some reason

Anyone got any ideas?

what time of year?

princesa yaiza in lanzarote has 2 bed apartments, pools, near beach, marina and restaurants plus has playground - perfect for early summer - might be too hot july/aug though?

surely any resort worth its salt will have lots of kids in the school hols though?

Middle of July for two weeks - I just dont want thousands of kids with loads of kids clubs and thompson the dog roaming around!

Will look at Yaiza - thanks

Stylelostinlabour - where did you stay in Puerto Pollensa? We would like to go there but not sure where to stay? What other nice apartment complexes have you been to?

I really recommend Sa Marina Apartments in Cala d'Or.

Stylelostinlabour · 19/01/2010 19:24

We stayed at the I'l a Dor but that was with a baby only and my parents (was a bit like waiting for god...) but was direct onto the beach, as long as near the Pine Walk End they have apartments behind which are nice.

Will have a look at Cala D'or

What about Sardinia? Alghero sounds like a perfect spot for your needs. Or i have Porto Piccolo this place on my to do list. Baia Sardinia is gorgeous and the beach is wonderful for children.
