Does anyone know of a lovely hotel in Dublin City,we have only two nights but want somewhere special who does breakfast and preferably a pool for the kids?

Hi
I'm going in Feb and staying at the Dylan but the Morgan is also nice, but you have to be careful which room you stay in.

Also the Fitzgerald (I think!) is OK but opposite the firestation so can be nosey

Hope this helps

Hi, the Merrion Hotel is lovely, expensive, but really nice and a short walk from Grafton Street. They have a pool and welcome kids. www.merrionhotel.com
The Shelbourne hotel www.shelbourne.ie is also nice but I think the Merrion is more child friendly. Shelbourne doesn't have a pool. The Herbert Park hotel in Ballsbridge is also good and would be much cheaper. They do great weekend deals. Doesn't have a pool but is right beside Herbert Park, so great for kids. It's a 15 minute walk from city centre or 5 mins by bus or in a taxi. www.herbertparkhotel.ie There are several other hotels in the Ballsbridge area, which are reasonably priced and nice but none have pools unfortunately, e.g D4 Hotels, Bewleys, Hampton hotel in Donnybrook. Hope that helps. I live in Dublin so if you have any other queries, just ask.
