Hello
I have been grabbing quick internet searches inbetween mopping up DS vomit as he has a bug and am getting fed up. WE have a week off work from 6th feb, and would like to take DS abroad for first time. To avoid hassle would like to fly from midlands area but it seems in winter the only place you can get to is the canary islands and I am not sure about these; ideally would like to go to southern italy, interesting part of spain etc or croatia so we can get out of subzero weather but not have too far a flight. Anyone get any ideas for me?

Croatia is fabulous, but I don't know how warm it would be in February. Bear in mind too that it is around that time that continental schools have their ski fortnight, so families wanting to escape the snow may decide to follow the sun. I plan to.

From EMA you can fly to Malaga or Venice, do they appeal?

My Mum lives near Malaga and I like it. It is intersting, the old bit/castle, Picasso museum etc. You could hire a car and go to the Alhambra, there are amazing caves in Nerja etc etc.

Venice would be cool as long as you have a back pack. Lots of interest to be seen there.
