Converting clubcard points into Airmiles?

POsted this in chat but didnt get much (any) response so thought I might try here;

Ok, so apparently if you haven't converted before you get double until Mar 20th?

I have £55 of points - was wondering if anyone could tell me

a) how many miles this is worth, at double value?

b) where this will take me from Glasgow?

c) is it just BA you can fly with? Can it be any flight - or do they screw you with only certain flights available - every third tuesday or whatever?

d)anything to watch out for?

TIA

You can exchange for airmiles or BA Club miles, they are different. With airmiles you are a bit more flexible but cost more.

Look here to see where you could get to, for zone 1 you would need £31.25 of vouchers for a return flight for zone 2 £62.50.

With BA miles you can only fly BA and they only allow a handful of free flights on each flight. I use this and with a little flexibility I never have any trouble getting a flight for all the family. £55 would get you 13,200 miles. You need 9000 miles for zone 1 or 15,000 for zone 2, but you can combine cash and miles e.g. £45 and 4,500 miles for zone 1.

There is a deal on at the moment with Tesco, where you get double the amount of miles - so thought it might be worth it.

I currently have £60 of tesco bouchers - so roughly 3000 miles?

Other consideration is we'd be flying from Glasgow or Edinburgh?
