we stayed in the santa fe for one night in october and had a fantastic time. we now want to go this summer for a week and want to stay somewhere with a swimming pool. therefore we are thinking of either the davy crocket ranch as it seems to have lots to do (good pool, animals, play area) and we could get a two bedroomed place so the kids (5 and 2) can have their own room. or the sequoia lodge as it also has a pool. this has the disadvantage of us all being in the same room for the stay but the advantage of being walking distance to the parks, which we found very useful last time - we only took the bus once.

can anyone give us some advice on which to go to - we're looking at july/august time, and are going to wait to see if they bring out any good deals for the summer before we book.

We have only done Davy Crockett, as we stayed there on the way home from a holiday in the Charente Maritime so was ideal.

The cabins are mobile homes with logs stuck on, but are very well equipped. You can drive to the Park by joining Mototrway, staying in inside lane and oming off next junction (just a few mins) and you get free parking, so can come & go as you like.

We liked the ranch, and the pool is great.
