Italy? My personal fave with or without kids. Last year took 4 kids (2, 3, 11 and 15)in luxury caravan near Venice (Lido de Jesolo - touristy but gr8 for access to Venice. May be more classy resorts around that area.) Also been to 4 star hotel there - gr8 food.

Got brill Mercedes MPV transfer from airport at half cost camping company was quoting.90Euros each way for 1 hour journey.

Venice is about 45 mins by bus and boat - fantastic - costs about 20Euros i think per person.

U also got the italian alps and Lakes (u can do the mountains and Lake Garda and Como in one day - or do 2 centre hols) within a couple of hours, which are superb.

Then there's Verona (a bit of culture, with Opera in open ampitheatre and Romeo and Juliet's balcony).

Beaches sandy and v clean where we were and food v child friendly and not too pricy.

italian people r so lovely usually - I used to live in Sardinia and travelled quite a bit within italy.

hope u find something good - we're tryin Barcelona (or nearby in another caravan!) to do similar beach/city break, as it seems to keep everyone happy.

Haven't been to denmark since a kid, but they used to do gr8 minicruises to there.

I would thoroughly here it is fantastic - we have been last 2 years and is perfect. Going herethis year for a change but unless it's fantastic we'll be back to Portofelice next year!!
Portofelice is on a fantastc beach with lovely pools - a very easy holiday but not too big/touristy. There is a bus stop outside with a bus to the airport and venice in one direction and caorle in the other which has a fab water park. Not as touristy as Lido de Jesolo. You can also walk into the town Eraclea Mare which ahs lovely restuarants. Campsite has a restauarnt, shop and takeaway - new retaurant this year and shop is really goo n well stocked. It really is the perfect holiday. canvas and select holidays go there - think canvas pitches are going to be better than Select this year but select will be cheaper! or you can book direct with site.

Good points in brochure about le bois du Valmarie is again a short walk to beach, great pools and accessible to town without needing to hire a car. There is a train station in town and can get the train to perpignan, from there onto barcelona etc.

As I'm a single mum with 2 kids I'd rather fly and not hire a car so need somewhere where I don't need to hire one but till ahve all the facilities. I'll drive to closer foreign sites but not driving for 2 days on my own with 2 kids!! But I like the sun!!
