Any recommendations? Looking for 2 bed s/c apartment on a complex with great facilities for kids - pools etc, a kids club - anywhere in the Med - does this exist??

We have a 6 month old and a 3 1/2 year old and looking for a family-friendly beach holiday in the summer in the med. Would ideally like to have a 2 bed apartment with kitchen / kitchenette in a complex with loads of pools, playgrounds and activities and a creche for the baby / kids club for our toddler (just for a few hours a day)

Have seen lots of places with great kids facilities but you seem to all have to squeeze into one room which I don't think would work for us as no-one would get any sleep!

Have you been anywhere like this that you could recommend?

We went with P&V to the Restanques de St Tropez. It was great, but you have to drive to the beach, and the kids club starts from 3. Get the best accommodation you can afford though, as the French seem to be happy to cram 10 family members into a small space.

What you need are Thomson Al Fresco - although you will have to check which (if any) of them have kids clubs that take little ones. They have 2 or 3 bed mobiles or chalets that are new and spotmess and the facilities on the parks are great. Def not chavvy - most other customers are quiet dutch/german families with some Brits.

I think First Choice also do Family Villages and some have 2 bed options, although these will be more expensive.

Mark Warner do childcare and I think some have 2 bed options, but this pretty expensive.

What is your budget and what kind of place are you looking for e.g don't want to move off site and just want pool/all inclusive, or more interested in seeing a bit of the country?

PS: Forte village in Sardinia would have everything you've asked for, but is £££££££££££

We stayed at Rubimar apart-hotel in Playa Blanca - Lanzarote.

It was lovely - in a fab marina development - lovely restaurants/bars/shops, and about 15 mins walk to play blanca which was more "english"

We've stayed in a couple of apartments in Majorca which are one bedroom and they will put beds in the lounge area for the dcs. They have everything else you are looking for ie: kids club, lovely pool, entertainment, playgrounds. Not many have creches. I think if you want creche with approved childcare for children under 1 you would need to go through a holiday company like First Choice or Thomas cook.

We've stayed at hotel viva in Cala mesquida, we've also stayed in the one in minorca and stayed at Iberostar ciudad blanca in Alcuida. You can book the latter through Thomas Cook although we did it independently. No childcare for little ones at either though.

Try SImply Travel - they have creches at some of their apartments/villas.

Also, I can heartily recommend THe Flamingo Hotel in Santa Margherita di Pula in Sardinia which we booked through Citalia (altho you can also book direct and get Easyjet flights to Caligari).

Sardinia is great - and very child friendly. We have been to Forte Village and it was great - but ££££!

Menorca is lovely.

insotel punta prima on menorca - they have one bed appartments with sofa bed and also some 2 bed ones.

kids club, 2 large pools, breakfast buffet, near small beach and restaurants/supermarkets. easy airport transfer.

Hi, thanks for all your help, after lots of research we've booked Pine Cliffs in Portugal as recommended on the Babygoes2.com website and got great reviews on TripAdvisor, not cheap but looks great. Thanks again for all your suggestions and ideas
