Good time to go I know realistically Nov through Feb is best time but I have the chance to go in end of May.

although its low season it should be fine with restaurants/attractions open. Weather wise hurricane season officially starts beginning june but they generally occur in sept/oct time and barbados has been quite lucky in that respect so should be fine

I wondered why Thomsons dont fly then and Virgin have very good prices in May to there!

mystery solved! but the other islands like st lucia, jamaica are affected more by hurricanes - barbados hasnt been hit by one since the 1960s. although you could rationalise that maybe its due!

it will be a bit quieter than during high season in terms of tourist activities but it really depends on what you want from the holiday. Contact the hotels you are interested in and make sure they aren't doing any renovations etc and check that kids clubs will be open if that is important.

we are thinking of 20 May till 3 June...I will email the hotel (Turtle Beach) and see what they say. Virgin are still flying there. Just want a relaxing hotel based holiday with our 4 yr old. with a couple of trips
