St George Hotel Cyprus - Anyone recommend it?

We are thinking of going early May with our 4 yr old - would you recommend this hotel it looks lovely!

I stayed there back in 2003 and it was lovely. The food was excellent and the hotel is very swish inside. The rooms then were very clean and new but not particularly big. It was February so didn't try the outdoor pool but the indoor leisure complex was good. There is a bus you can get to Paphos quite easily but I would definitely recommend hiring a car as you are within easy reach of Coral Bay and also the lovely north west area and the mountains. There is nothing really around the hotel apart from other hotels and the beach as I remember it was pretty scrubby and not that great. Hope that helps a bit!

Great, yes thought of a car.

We weren't impressed (in 2006 with a 4mth old baby)- room walls thin and food was a very monotonous buffet every evening. Although we were on half board we spent most nights eating elsewhere. Definitely recommend car hire. There isn't a beach - although there is a tiny cobbled together bit of sand. Would recommend the north coast of Cyprus instead (Polis and Latchi).
