Canaries for Half Term-Lanzarote or Fuerteventura?

Did Lanzarote last Feb, thinking about giving Fuerteventura a try, but it looks very golf-y. Not sure if that really matters, if the beach is nice and the food is good, but would like advice please.

Will be me, DH, DD, age 3.5 and 8 month old DS, plus my mum.

Just looking for warm weather with a decent beach, and somewhere nice to eat out once a day that isn't too 'chips with everything'.

We're just back from Fuerteventura. We got a fantastic deal booking thru' alpharooms and Thomas Cook flights. We stayed here
It's 10 mins from the airport. Plane noise not intrusive, just enjoyed plane spotting. The apartments are virtually brand new, very clean. You can go self catering or all inclusive and it's only 200m from beach.
The resort, Caleta de Fuste (Costa Caleta) does have plenty of awful chips with everything/sunday roast type places, but there are all sorts of other restaurants. The beach is a beautiful sweep of sand.
We did daytris down to national parrk, beautuifuk dand dunes, into the interior, lovely old villages. There's also a great zoo.
You might also be interested in staying at the Barcelo complex. More expensive but right on the beach and very lovely.
