Turkey at Easter

Has anyone been to Turkey at Easter? We went around late April once and it was already very hot. But many of the tour companies don't even do packages at Easter.

Is Turkey open at Easter?! LOL!
I don't mind booking flights/hotels separately/independently.

(We were going to Windermere, but the cottage has been flooded out. Dh has the holiday booked, so I'm looking for other ideas!)

"Is Turkey open at Easter?" - well it depends on where you are thinking of going. I used to live near Bodrum and most of the resorts didn't really start to open up until late April or the beginning of May. There were always some places open early but not really very much.

You will have more chance of resorts being up and running in April in somewhere like Antalya as a lot of places remain open through the year there becasue the weather is better over that part.

Or if you aren't particularly looking for a beach holiday then you could visit Istanbul.

You can definitely get flights through April so you could go independantly if you can't find a tour operator that goes.
