Hello, for the first time in four years ds is well enough to want a holiday abroad
So, rather than go mad immediately, we thought we'd go somewhere "on the train mum" (meaning Eurostar) and I would be so grateful for any advice on somewhere nice to go and stay.
There will be three of us and we would prefer to keep the journey reasonably short otherwise ds will take ages to recover from it...in the late summer (we're not tied to term times)...warm preferably...am so incredibly easy on where you wouldn't believe so any suggestions gratefully received.
TIA

Well, on Eurostar I think you can pretty much only go to Paris or Brussels - both of which warmish in late summer. With a change of train/s you can go on to the south of France, the Alps, - also Madrid and South of Spain - but that might be too ambitious?

Paris has Eurodisney of course - would he be fit enough for that? There are hotels within the resort so you could be as lazy as you want.

Hi momonthenet, I'm just looking into Eurodisney. We took my niece there many years ago and she loved it; I'm just trying to decide if it would be too much for him.

what are the criteria? Is ds disabled? How old is he? How long are you going for?

How about a really cool hotel in Paris with an indoor pool, and one of those open topped bus tours around the city?

Thanks for trying to help mumonthenet. I think disney may well be too much too soon, unfortunately, so I've started another thread re somewhere close to Calais...any help on that gratefull received also
