Hotel needed in Paris for January?

Am taking my hubby to Paris in January as a xmas pressie for the weekend without the little one. The last time we went it was 13 years ago.
Can anyone recommend a decent hotel?

Depends what you like. Totally unique, v memorable but slightly dillapidated and prob no room service/mod cons is Hotel Esmerelda, right by Notre Dame in rue St-Julien-le pauvre. As I say, amazing as a base for a fun w-e away, but not ideal for a w-e when you want to spend lots of time in the hotel with large bath, white robes, large minibar, etc. ANd superb location on Left Bank.
