In Southampton there is Jungle Jeans which has a reasonable cafe and lots of space to play. It is very close to Ikea and the West Quay shops My kids love it there. I know nothing about Portsmouth, sorry.

Portsmouth Side near Fratton Park, & the palmerston rd high street you have Krazy Caves which is a jungle gym soft play centre, you can have coffee and the kids can eat. theres maccy D's and KFC in the retail park too.

Not sure about Fareham itself, but Portsmouth has Krazy Kaves and also Pirate Pete's on Southsea seafront. Southsea shopping centre is near by.

Gosport has Monkey Business soft play.

Gunwharf Quays retail outlet in Portsmouth is a quick ferry hop over from Gosport. They often have kid friendly activities over the festive period (Santa, little roundabouts etc). If you Google it, the website has more info.
