Travel this New Year at 27 weeks PG - is that insane?

Although I have no excuse for leaving it so late, can anyone advise me on a very last minute - last child-free - holiday ideally somewhere warm, and safe. Or would I be better off spending my time hand-making Christmas presents for 2010?!

DH doesn't like large resorts, but I wonder how much choice we have at this stage.

Any ideas gratefully received...

Insane. Anywhere warm is (probably) going to be verging on third world in it's medical faciltites. I don't know what the cut off for flying is either. Personally I would go somewhere locally or at least in your couuntry of residence. A lovely gastro pub or boutique hotel.

You might need a letter from your doctor to travel at or about 28 weeks; policies vary by airline, but you should be able to fly; I think the absolute cutoff, for BA for example, is about 35 weeks.

You would need to make sure you had comprehensive medical cover that would cover every eventuality, of course.

Friends recommend Aruba, tho that would be a long haul flight -warm though, and medical standards (in the unlikely event of needing them) are said to be good. or South Africa?
