Cheapest - walk. Stroll up through Covent Garden, down Long Acre, through Picadilly Circus, up Regent Street then right onto Oxford Street. Loads to see on the way. Quite a long walk, so obviously not at all appropriate if the children are very young.

Other than that, get a travel card and do busses (for best views of the sights) or tube (quickest and probably easiest) You can research your route with tube lines and/or bus numbers of the tfl website

Oops. That should have said left onto Oxford Street. Never been very good with that.

Bus 6 or 15 from Strand (near and same side of road as Savoy Hotel). Bus stops opposite Selfridges.

will i be able to walk there in an hour, easily? dont want to be sressed, worrying about time. dd 6 is good walker and ds 3 will be in buggy, for ease.

I wouldn't fancy walking although it is a walkable distance. Regent St and Oxford St will be heaving with people tomorrow.

Route here.

I think i will go for bus, and hope that i get on right bus and get off at right stop.
