Suggestions for a day out to celebrate 1st birthday - live in east midlands but can travel!

Don't know what the weather forecast will be yet. My son will be one on Dec 18th and also have a 3.4yr old DD. We can travel about an hour to get somewhere. Went to the sealife centre in Brum today which was great for both of them.
