Want to avoid egg and chips but have a beach holiday with pre-schoolers at Easter. Is it possible?

I'm on a 6 month placement next year so I can't choose my holidays - it'll have to be Easter.

So. I'm thinking, as long as we can walk to a beach (and assume fair weather) we'll be ok. Kids are 2 and 4 and sand is the key for entertaining them. Mild heat is fine as we are rather pasty

We were looking at Coastline Villas but they don't start renting 'til after Easter, and I don't know where to start looking elsewhere.

Me and DP would love to have some nice lunches out - not fancy pants, but not egg and chips

Any recommendations out there?

tia

this place is really good for kids that age, but you would need to drive as you go on the ferry, we went to a beach near by that was great

Thanks for that Bogie, I hadn't even thought of Holland! Do you think it will be warm in early April?

I always reccomend this hotel in Tenerife to anyone on MN. A few MN'ers reccomended it to me, we went in April and it was fab. - And a good half an hour away from the brit resorts - its an amazing hotel - loads to do for kids, and all rooms are suites so seperate bedroom for them/you

That looks nice Geordie. Is there a beach nearby? Also, we've never done all-inclusive; does it mean all day buffet type set up?

beach about 20 minute walk,

breakfast - huge buffet plus chefs to cook for you

lunch - 3 restuarants

dinner 4 restuarants

plus poolsidce snack bar open 11-7 or something serving sandwiches/burgers/salads/ice cream/serve yourself drinks - inc wine on tap

Food was amazing - so much choice, amazing quaility, different every night. Loads of stuff for ds who was 2 at the time.

Came back almost a stone heavier.

Oh and they have a wonderful spa too.
