French Hotel/B&Bs in Dijon and in Gap

We're planning our trip down to Nice for July 2010 and have been advised that as we'll be travelling south on the busiest weekend of the year, we should break it up so we're going to stay in the Dijon and in the Gap areas i.e. one night in each on the way down. We've 2 girls, 4 and 7, and want a child friendly B&B/hotel in each of these areas, with a restaurant on-site so we don't have to get back into the car again to go out to eat. Preferably a pool too. We're open to places where it's a really limited menu i.e. owners cook for you rather than a typical menu to choose from. I'd be really grateful for any suggestions as it's a minefield out there! Thank you!

One word - Novotel! Most of their hotels have pools and rooms sleep 4. DCs get a free breakfast and there is a good children's menu. The food has always been a high standard and the ones we have stayed in have had new, clean rooms with TV and mini bar.

We've stayed Lyon Nord, Macon Nord, and Dijon Sud. They usually have some reasonable pre-booking bargains. Accor Hotels website
