stupid question about Dubai

What kind of plug adapter will we need for Dubai hotel?

Anything else we need to take apart from the obvious?

assuming it's the same as Abu Dhabi, you won't need one - it's 3 pin plugs same as here

I stayed in Fujairah recently, and their plugs were the same as ours, so sure Dubai will be too.

just got back and it was 'normal' plugs

Yes - I live here and plugs are same as UK so you won't need to pack a thing - enjoy!

You'll love it although weather is a cool 25ish I'd say at the moment.....positively chilly!

We're on way back to the UK tomorrow so it's coats at the ready......poor baby has never worn a coat or been in temperatures below 25......won't know what's hit him!

If you haven't left yet, please be careful of the drugs (legal) you are taking with you as the customs controls are quite heavy about certain ones. Anything with codeine is a no no but you may want to check with governments foreign office site to check.

I live here too...nothing else obvious that you should bring over...apart from an umbrella...its belting down today and everything has come to a stand still

Look out for the entertainer books when you get over here, a book of vouchers offering buy one get one free on lots of popular tourist activities, resturants and other such things....will save you fortune.

OK so another thing that occurs - are you plagued with biting insects?? We all over react massively to bites so will be good to be pre warned!! NOt good news about the rain - not what we signed up for

oh and re thr codeine - does that count if they are in hold luggage or is it a blanket ban (we are fans of Solpadeine for hangovers!!)

At the moment its raining and cool so the insects are not around....
