Any advice on what a baby could wear to reduce their sun exposure but keep them cool at the same time?

Hey,

We're travelling with our 6 month old baby to Kuala Lumper next week. The weather will be sunny and could be anything up to 35C. Any advice on suitable clothing to keep her both protected from the sun but cool at the same time?

Cheers

Light, thin cotton long trousers and sleeves will help, but my dc always used to get too hot like this, so we ended up just stripping them off and keeping them in the shade as much as possible.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. Its just that we'll be doing a bit of sight seeing and she'll be in a stroller of some description, so her legs will be in the sun unless we cover them up, but yes, I can imagine she'd get quite hot if they were.....its tough knowing what the best thing is to do...

i would get something like the shade-a-babe so she will be totally covered in the pushchair but should still be cool

we've just had our 9month old travelling in Thailand and if we were out in the heat of the day we'd sometimes dress her in her full body swim suit that is spf 40. That way she was covered to her knees and elbows and we factor 50'd the rest of her

Great, thanks guys. I've ordered a Shade a Babe of Ebay and will pop in her body swim suit we were brought and pack the F50!

Cheers,
